This is lovely. I like the J/I in character flirting and the dog food for Owen! I hope you are also writing another wonderful series.

Just a little brit pick: tire - tyre. Also "screw off" I have never heard that, the most common expression is "sod off" which is used all the time.

(Apologies if you happen to be a Brit who uses US spellings and unusual insults!)
