This is gorgeous -- I love the imagery of it and the way you used the dream realm, and the way this swung between hope and despair and joy. The Sam and Cas friendship was awesome, and your Dean and Cas totally heartbreaking -- that Dean just can't see *why* Cas would do this, and how Cas sees past Dean's angry words and defense mechanisms to see Dean the person, and Dean not at all sure what to do with how he feels about Castiel but he can't help but show the love he feels back, ready to swap himself to save Castiel, as Castiel's willing to give himself up for Dean. Gah, the ending - Cas will have this whole life, and then go to Morpheus. Cannot. Deal. Yet it's a happy fic! ♥

The torture scenes were really well done, and that horrible moment when Sam and Cas think they've left the dream realm and can't get back in but the part that undid me completely was Castiel's favorite dream with Dean, and their life together. That just UNDID ME.
